The oven drying tester is a rapid drying oven suitable for fibers and yarns
The oven drying tester is used to determine, in a very short time (only 5 minutes for fiber raw material up to 500 g and 7 minutes for yarns skeins), the moisture content (MC%), the moisture regain (MR%) and the correction % (+) or (-) to set.
The homogenous warm air distribution, duly filtered, in every part of the drying chamber maintains test material soft and unaltered inside a tared can with 75 micron net.
The first oven drying tester for fibers had been desinged and built by Branca Idealair in Italy in the year 1925.
The drying is lower than 5 minutes for each sample, depending on its initial moisture content (g) that can reach over 500 g per test. Output results listed are moisture content (MC%), regain (MR%) and regain correction.
The USER INTERFACE is enabled through the HMI Touch screen that command from PLC the SSRs to keep a steady PID control on testing material under a drying set temperature (105-140) +/- 2°C in compliance with Standard UNI 9213 and related norms.
Weighing system is designed for managing subsequent weighings of the subsample until the determination of the final dry weight of material once between two subsequent weighings the readout is lower than 0,05% of the last dry weight.

Test parameters can be configured by the users inputting the type of fibers or fiber mixing in percentage of material presence based on subsample composition and additional other useful integrated functions.
